The Story So Far

1973 – A group of people started meeting in houses in Shermanbury and joined with other like-minded groups in the South East to form Coastlands. This developed to eventually become Newfrontiers, an organisation working to encourage and support churches who want a radical, prophetic, New Testament style church.

1982 – A prophetic word directed those in Shermanbury to start a church in Horsham (now the Kings Church Horsham) and resulted in some moving house to achieve this.

1991 – Having established a young church in Horsham some people were called, again through prophetic words, to start a new church in Cowfold (Weald Community Church).

2004 – The congregation at Cowfold had outgrown the church venue so a group moved on to establish the Community Church – Henfield. This church continues to be a part of the Newfrontiers International family of churches and you can find more information at www.newfrontiers.xtn.org
